Locate Your Lost Phone Using an SMS Text Message

In the dark jungle of your everyday life it’s quite possible that you will lose your phone someday. So what to do when that happens? Well... we could send one of our sniffing monkeys to find it for you... but monkeys need a lot of bananas. You’re probably better off using our “Locate Lost Phone“ application. Use any mobile phone to send a coded SMS text message to your mobile phone and its location will be reported right back to that phone! That is technology for you.

How does it work?

The “Locate Lost Phone“ app needs to be installed on your mobile phone while you still have it.
During installation you enter a code word. After you lost your mobile phone, you can use any other mobile phone to send it an SMS text message with content: locate code word. Your lost phone will turn on the GPS, determine its location and reply with two SMS text messages. The second reply message will contain the latitude and longitude of your mobile phone. Click on the link and we will show you the location of your mobile phone in Google Maps worldwide. Easy peasy.
